Mr. Andrew Herdman is Director General of the Association of Asia Pacific Airlines (AAPA) based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Mr. Herdman is committed to expanding the role of the Association as the leading trade organization for international airlines based in the Asia-Pacific region, addressing a wide range of both regional and global policy issues affecting the industry.
AAPA works closely with regulators and other industry associations with the aim of fostering the sustainable growth of international civil aviation. He is a graduate of Oxford University

The AAPA is the trade association of scheduled international airlines based in the Asia-Pacific region. The AAPA permanent secretariat is headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia with international representation in Brussels and Washington, D.C. Collectively, the 17 AAPA member airlines carry 285 million passengers and 10 million tonnes of cargo, representing approximately one-fifth of global passenger traffic and one-third of global air cargo traffic respectively, and thus play a critically important role in the ongoing development of global aviation.
