ALTA
As project manager for ALTA, the Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association, Daniel Chereau is responsible for managing the distribution, fuel and environmental initiatives in the region on behalf of the association’s more than 30 member airlines.
Chereau oversees ALTA’s distribution committee that explores new and existing distribution channels aimed at improving performance efficiencies and income generation, as well as ALTA’s fuel committee that was created for airlines to achieve economies of scale in their fuel purchases, including joint negotiation projects. Chereau also manages ALTA’s environmental projects in the region.
Prior to joining ALTA, Chereau served as an analyst and aeronautical fees executive for LAN Airlines based in Santiago, Chile, as well as an analyst at Telefónica CTC Mundo, Chile’s principal telecommunications carrier. Chereau earned his Bachelor of Industrial Engineering from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile in Santiago, Chile.
Chereau is fluent in Spanish and English, and is also conversant in Japanese and Portuguese.
