Constantino de Oliveira Junior serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of GOL. Mr. Oliveira introduced a new business concept to Brazil in 2001 with the “low-cost, low-fare” model, making GOL a pioneer in the local commercial aviation market. He was named the “Most Valuable Executive” by the Brazilian newspaper Valor Econômico in 2001, 2002 and 2005; was awarded the iBest 2001 by Entrepreneur Internet; and was also elected the Leading Entrepreneur of the transportation industry in 2003 by the readers of Gazeta Mercantil, a Brazilian financial newspaper. Mr. Oliveira studied Business Administration at the University of Brasilia and attended the Executive Program on Corporate Management for Brazil, hosted by The Association for Overseas Technical Scholarship in Japan. He also served as a Director of Grupo Áurea, a Brazilian bus company.
