Marc Szepan

Lufthansa Systems - Airline Operations Solutions
Mr. Szepan assumed his current leadership role as Senior Vice President Airline
Operations Solutions on January 1, 2006 and is responsible for Lufthansa Systems’
global flight operations products and services business.
The Airline Operations Solutions division offers a full range of products covering the
process chain of airline flight operations including flight planning and dispatch systems,
performance engineering, navigational charts in paper and electronic format, FMS
data, and EFB solutions which are used by more than 150 airline customers worldwide.
Mr. Szepan was educated at Middlebury College, Middlebury, USA, where he was
inducted in the Phi Beta Kappa Society and at Harvard University, Cambridge, USA,
and completed executive education programs at Harvard Business School and at the
M.I.T. Sloan School of Management, both Cambridge, USA.
Prior to his current position, Mr. Szepan held managerial appointments at Lufthansa
Technik AG, the aircraft maintenance and engineering business segment of Lufthansa,
and two other German industrial companies with postings in Germany, in the
Philippines, and in the People’s Republic of China. Most recently, Mr. Szepan has
served as Vice President Aircraft Overhaul for Lufthansa Technik Philippines, Inc.
In addition to his operational roles, Mr. Szepan has served and continues to serve on
the boards of companies in Asia, Europe and the USA.
